The success of our swim meets depends heavily on the active involvement of all the Gator Parents.
Swim meets are held every Saturday, May 11 - July 13. This year’s meets: 1 Time trial, 2 Home, 4 Away, and Championship Meet.
VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
All families must work the below listed number of points including 1 set-up and 1 clean-up shift. A mother and father working a shift together would fulfill 2 points for that family.
- 1 swimmer - 6 points
- 2 swimmers - 7 points
- 3 swimmers & above - 8 points
Families participating in EBSL Championships will be assigned job shifts at EBSL Championships in addition to the above.
SHIFT OPTIONS
Important: Please note the below shift duration varies based on the job. Refer to the time requirement when you sign up for each job.
Home Meets:
● Set up Shift: Friday night, about an hour (8:00 - 9:00 pm)
● Traffic Control: 6:30 am - 8:45 am
● Shift 1: 07:30 am - 10:30 pm, various assignments
● Shift 2: 10:00 am - 01:00 pm, various assignments
● Clean up Shift: directly after meet, about an hour
Away Meets:
● Shift 1: 07:30 am - 10:30 pm, various assignments
● Shift 2: 10:00 am - 01:00 pm, various assignments
Sign ups are now on this website. In the case of conflicts, families are responsible to find coverage for their shifts.
SIGNUP DEADLINES
Register for the jobs by following dates:
- May 6th - For the time trial which will be held on May 11th.
- May 13th - For all remaining meets.
PENALTIES FOR MISSED SHIFTS
Failure to check-in/work assigned shift will result in the following:
First-year Families
- First Missed Shift
Written warning, no monetary penalty
- Second Missed Shift
$100 penalty AND additional shift assigned,
- Third Missed Shift
$200 penalty AND additional shift assigned, AND the family’s swimmer(s) pulled from the following meet
Returning Families
- Any Missed Shift:
$200 penalty AND additional shift assigned, AND the family’s swimmer(s) pulled from the following meet
Penalties are due by the Wednesday following the missed shift Unpaid penalties will result in the family’s swimmer(s) missing subsequent practices/meets
